No, Beau, I don't think there was a direct or even indirect inference. However. we'd all like to see that new hot rod of yours.

I'm with Milt, Beau. Please, no roadside adventures in the 993 though!

Agreed! I will keep the new car on the road this time. And hopefully I won't have any more big vans pulling out in front of me for target practice either. Which reminds me, the leg is getting a lot better and I have driven the 993 a handful of times now. It is definitely all that and a bag chips!

Hey everyone, I promised an update for today Monday 8/4. I did NOT get a call from World Class Motoring today as I expected. Did anyone hear anything? I know I'm not number 1 on the list to notify, but Fred at WCM said he would let me know.
Of course, there could have been one more hitch before it's a go, so we'll just have to see. |

Hey guys,
spoke to Fred at World Class Motoring. The show is a GO, September 13 and 14. Incidentally I've been commissioned to do this year's poster for the event as well (as I did last year). More details to follow soon. Cheers, http://nicolashunziker.com |

I've already signed up as a vendor and look forward to seeing everyone there!

No one has called or emailed me anything, so as far as I know, we're not going to this event that doesn't exist yet.

Wayne, this is indeed strange. I have been in contact with these folks as apparently many others have. I encouraged WCM to contact you, but who knows what goes on between what might be competing businesses. I don't want to state what I was told was the hang up because that's their personal business, but let's just say a signature or 2 were needed as of last Friday. All the players were supposed to to meet yesterday and see this through. Maybe there was one more hiccup.
I hate being in the position I'm in being told this was going down and then standing in front of a crowd of PCA members Saturday morning claiming this was going to happen. All I was trying to do was help. Sometimes being helpful is not the best path, I guess. |

World Class Motoring is proud to announce that the 2008 Ventura Show will indeed take place this year. The official dates are September 13th and 14th, 2008. We would like to invite all of the past vendors, exhibitors, and attendees to contact us directly so that we can expedite the process of registration and the set up of vendor spaces.
We will be managing the show and working in conjunction with Bob Campbell this year, and although time is short we will make every effort to make the show fun and profitable for all participants, and the transition as seamless as possible. Well, low and behold, I opened up my email and had the same message. It's been forwarded.
Now all we have to do is get the caravans organized! |

Soooo... it's a week away. Anyone want to plan a drive up? Mostly referring to SOCG and south LA people. Frankly I'm surprised no one else has started making plans to get a group together sooner. The show is literally one week away! Is sunday still the swap meet day?

I'd be happy to tag along with my C2 if there's a group coming up Mulholland Drive. Perhaps there could be a connection point at the Gelsons off of Mulholland Hwy in Calabasas? I'm in Woodland Hills and would be open to any reasonable ideas.

Marco's run starts at Village Coffee Roasters in Woodland Hills/Calabassas at 7:00AM. They get to the Camarillo Airport by way of canyons at 8:00AM. They get to the show at 9:30AM.
