Wow. That would be amazing. Below is the list as I have it, with your numbers added:

2.0L 911 - 405 lbs
2.2L 911 - 380-405 lbs (magnesium case dropped weight)
POLO - 286 lbs
912 - 212 lbs - 240 lbs
Subaru - 264 lbs
914?
Raby?

Here is a reference but in looking at the other weights, I'm not confident in the numbers comparing apples to apples ie, other motors weights seem higher and others lower.

For sure. We need to hang out again, been too long. You gotta come over and checkout our setup, its pretty awesome. It'll likely be after the holidays when the weather warms up a bit, pretty darned cold out there to be wrenching and our time is going be eaten up by holiday stuff. Stay tuned.

Update:
Trans is coming along after figuring out our differential. The diff that came with the trans we bought wasn't going to work, so we sourced an open diff from a good friend locally. Got the adapter kit in along with a new clutch and PP. Starting to come together nicely, but quite a bit of work to go. Here are a few pics of the nice looking products we got from KEP:

I may have jumped the gun a bit, but happy that it finally came in! I think it's appropriate!

radiators!

First started off with cardboard mockup radiator to fit in the car. then looked on eBay and bought a Nissan 280Z 75-78 L6 radiator which is very basic and has the height I want and its a 3 row for $120! Once I got the radiator I had it cut with a bandsaw for a nice straight cut. Then removed the leftover fins with a rat tail file and below they are nice and cleaned up. Need to weld on the side plates to both the upper and lower tanks of each. Then will drill out second outlet for each and weld in 1.25" tube. Also order some Spal 7.5" fans to mount on each.

Mikes car hasn't progressed as fast either of us would like, but at least she has a good home. I've been working like mad on my garage space so that I've got a good foundation for doing the complicated work of swapping the engine. Its taken a year but the Im just about ready to start with the swap.

In the meantime, we added a carbon splitter that we bought from eBay from a Nascar team. I cut and sectioned it down the middle and took out about 10 inches, then epoxied it back together with some dowel pins in the middle. Its a nice thick rigid piece that should give the bumper quite a bit of strength. I also added a black grill in the oil cooler opening and mounted the front license plate holder.

Soon I'll be dropping the engine in prep for the STi install, just as soon as I get my brother up to the Bay Area to help

Some updates to the car over the past weekend:

- Finished up Radiators
- Mounted them in the car with beefy brackets (top and bottom)
- Mounted fans on the radiators, and it all fits! Yahoo!
- Cut and welded oil pan and pickup tube about 1.5"
- Cut and welded coolant crossover tube to go out the other direction

If you need any Subie parts, I have some pretty wild stuff collecting dust like:
  • Moore Performance equal length headers (for Evo IX turbo)
  • HUGE Bell water/air intercooler
  • STI air/air intercooler
  • Plastic Legacy GT intake manifold (reversible)
I guess I've been too lazy to try and sell them on NASIOC...

Kenikh - Thanks, I'll keep that in mind!

pksystems - No issues yet. Pretty simple weld, just need to be sure not to hit a fin. May want to shield with copper or steel to be sure that the heat from the torch doesnt melt a thin fin, otherwise, not to hard.

Update:

- Old combo out and mounts or gone
- New alternator bracket fabbed
- New tight fitting belt
- Flipped intake manifold, almost complete
- Turbo mounted
- Exhaust started

Nice looking welds!! With a MIG?
