I thought the door glass was curved a bit though..

it is - but the lexan takes up the curve quite easily. the lexan also attempts to bend back to straight and in doing so creates a little tension against the window seals which prevents rattles.

I'd like to do something like this for the Porsche 951with Polycarbonate... or at least using the 924 manual window crank and 924 door-window components. Anyone done that?
