I am about to attempt removal of the fresh air vent fan motor- I have obtained a used one that I am going to install. I am looking for any advice to assist me. The 101 Projects does not include this job, unfortunately....
AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL- REMEMBER OUR TROOPS DEPLOYED IN HARM'S WAY....... Thanks!! TriTom ![]()

As far as I remember it's not a fun job and will take a while:
1) remove carpet from trunk 2) remove cardboard which protects the fresh air vents 3) remove the cables from the plastic central housing 4) remove the air intake mesh from the outside 5) unplug electrical connector to the blower 6) lift the whole plastic unit out of the car (whiggle a bit, as it is sitting with a "drain plug" in the chassis) 7) disassemble the fan motor with the blades 8) remove plastic "turbine" blades from the shaft 9) exchange motor 10) reassemble Note that the "turbine" style blades are balanced by small metallic clips, so don't remove them! Hope this helps |

Just remove the cable attatched to the blower housing, unplug the blower, remove the 2 hoses and remove 2 bolts and it's out. Might have to remove the top bolt on the bracket to the right of the blower and swing it out of the way.
