video

Guy's, I have about 18 minutes of video running up Stunt road (behind Jeremy I believe), and then chasing the Datsun 2000 Roadster down Schuren and Piuma. Is it cool to post it hear?

Derec, is your video camera a standard GOPro Hero? It looks like you have a remote wire running to it, am I correct? If not, how do you start the camera, get out of the car?

I had a blast New Years, as I did on Thankgiving. Thanks for letting my American P-car (Pontiac) participate. When is the next one? Happy New Years, Mike.

I saw Dave B's "GTO" a few times several years ago. It was incredible. Looked like the real thing ! Where is that car now ?

I don't think this was it. This one is black with red interior, I believe it's Dave B's landlord. I'll post it just the same.

Thank you all for a great day!
If we could have a quarterly run, that would be awesome.

1. Santa Monica Mountains -Q1
2. Big Bear Run - Q2
3. Palomar Run -Q4
4. August Historics - Q3

Just like getting a quarterly bonus!!

Hey Mike,
Standard rez GoPro Hero Wide angle. No cable, so I had to jump out and start it a couple times.
Finally got the video off the SD card, but the bummer is I lost memory space just before the last section from PCH onto Mul Hwy... the REALLY fun part. Oh well. Probably for the best, if you know what I mean.

Anyway... hope to have a short video posted soon, with a lot of participants vehicles visible at one point or another.

By the way, Mike, your Tempest is b1tchin'.

Here's a quick teaser of the video I have

Here's some video I took from the fender mount on my car.
Wish the extension could have been a bit further out, but oh well.
Some beautiful scenery, cool lights in a tunnel, and the ocean off PCH.

from MIRRC.

Great video, Derek.
The scenery is great, but I'm mesmerized just watching that wheel move around!

Thanks! That's what stock SC suspension movement looks like with Carrera Sport sways. Time for some torsion bars.

I should have some pics and possibly video ready to post tomorrow as well.

Also don't forget to check Rock Store Photos on Monday evening to see if there are any cool action shots of you behind the wheel.

Derec, thanks for the kind words on the old Pontiac, wasn't sure how it would be received. I have a few questions on your camera if I may. What setting do you have the sound on, and are you running the rubberband on the case? The sound on my video is crap. Did you edit that before posting, curious about it jumping from one road to the next without seeing you reset the camera? Thanks, Mike.

The sound on those is usually crap unless you leave it in the low setting. I was running the seal (rubber band) as well. I just edited it really quick in Quicktime Pro and bumped up the sound 6dB as well. Nothing Final Cut oriented. Just wanted to do something quick.

Call me an old lady if you want, but my pet peeve on these drives is watching others continually cross over the yellow center line deciding it is ok, they "know" no one is coming the other way. Whats the deal? Won't your car corner well enough to stay in your own lane? I think it's a bad habit to get into. Is it just me?

Here is a video I shot on my way home (I skipped out on Dukes cuz I had to get home by noon). This is Mulholland between Las Virgenes (Malibu Canyon) and Cornell Road. It's my local test loop but unfortunately the road is in pretty poor condition right now.

How far did the Mulholland 911RSR go? I thought for sure I would see him at the overlook on Mulholland between the Rock Store and Kanan.
