Horn Randomly FREAKS

I put in a Momo wheel in a long while ago, just as directed by pelican, and HOLY COW, wtf horn. It worked fine for 2 days, maybe less and then randomly started blaring until i disconnected it and eventually disconnected the horn(the wheels sweet). I must have gone over fifteen different sets of directions and looks like i did everything fine, and works fine when i have the original horn in. Does my alpine car alarm just hate Momo? It makes me so sad...

The same thing happened to me. Check the screws that mount the horn to the wheel. You'll probably find if you tighten one of the screws, the horn will sound. I think they have an insulated o-ring. I ended up rotating the screws until one didn't ground the circuit. Haven't had any problems since.

also look carefully for strands of wire that may have accidentally fallen in there

Mine start blaring on its own initiative in Athens, GA, at a stoplight, with two lawmen standing on the opposite corner. They were amused. Problem came and went until I found the ground wire spade connector could make contact with the hot ring under the (930 wheel) button; bent the connector outward a millionth of an inch and problem stopped.

I also had that problem when I installed my MOMO wheel last year, check that GROUND wire, and make sure it is connected tightly!

GL!

As others have stated, it's grounding someplace. Forget the directions, you have something else going on. Disassemble and teach yourself how the system works, upon careful examination you'll find the issue. The system is simple and easy, you'll be able to sort this one out. If you have problems, post pics of your setup here. We might be able to spot something you've missed.

Good luck!

When this happened to me, the horn spring assembly had cracked, and it was grounding there.

LOL I remember when I had my first 911 in 1981... I was 20 years old fresh from a trip to the sandbox... I got home with bonus money and bought 1970 911T

Every time I made a right turn the horn would sound... My then girlfriend and I would crack up.... "right turn coming"

Maybe you had to be there...
