![]() This is how my 1969 targa was delivered to me. During restoration work the carpet was pulled back only to discover that the door sills were not pierced behind the heat outlets on either side. A little research - 1969 driver's manual : does not show these outlets but heated air circulation goes from the heat exchangers under the exhaust outlet, along the sills, to front outlets under the dash. - Porsche parts catalog names thes "slide heaters" and lists to models "-68" , up to year 1968. Am I correct in believing they are not right for my model? 1969 Targa? -Christos |

You are correct. The slides were through the 1968 model and not on 1969 models. Your 912 is clearly a 1969 model.
Have the carpets ever been replaced? If so, I suspect someone got the ’68 and earlier version with a cut-out for the early heat outlet. Their solution: install the slide as a vent to nowhere. ![]() Best, Grady
