Part # needed to finish clutch rebuilt

I need a part # for that little bushing that goes on top of the release fork of a 915 Tranny "1986"

see pic:

mine, after cleaning, fell apart ,..poof gone,..

By the way the aluminum pressure plate from the Sachs power clutch kit is only 4 lbs lighter than the steel OEM, does this really makes a difference?? I though the Alu. plate was much lighter than that,....

Thanks for any help

Stephan

Do a search in PP for P/N "915-301-139-00-M30". Pelican has them for $2.50 each with 3 required for your 1986 year.

When I did my 84; I had a gap with only 3 so I ended up putting in a 4th to keep the dirt out. I also put in the Al pressure plate. I don't know if it goes any faster, but it sounds faster when you blip the throttle.

The 4 pound reduction is in iron part that was replaced with Alu. Since this is at the outer portion of the pressure plate; It has more of an impact. Another words, the outer most rotating mass has been reduced more than the overall mass.

I hope I said that right...LOL

The factory service manual only called for one on top of the fork, but I put one on top and one on bottom.

As for the other two; The factory manual shows one above and one below the "clutch release lever" (the big arm).

Hope this helps,
