High beam switch

Everytime I hit a bump, the high beams come on.
Can this item be repaired?

Easy fix. Try electrical contact cleaner first, you can always pull the switch.

If you find that you have no high beam, or no low beam, try using some snap ring pliers to spin the retaining collar for the light switch, then pull the light switch out backwards, and retract it out of the dash. Letting it hang down, you can inspect the electrical contacts. You should check and clean the spade connectors, which are probably either loose, dirty, or both. It's a quick 5 minute fix.

I took the covers off and opened up the contacts a little as indicated in one of the posts.......problem solved..
