How is this thing mounted

In the trunk there's a small door which contains the AC blower and a condenser below it. The condenser (or whatever it is called) is in a plastic box that is mounted somehow. I can't what ever is holding it in there. Anyone know? Is it bolted underneath the car or what?
Want to get that thing out of there and put some tools in that small space. (already got the blower pulled out)

The stuff in the "smugglers box" is the A/C evaporator assembly. I think it is held down by two brackets. If you are standing in front of your car and leaning forward looking down into the box, one bracket is on the lower right side of the assembly and the other bracket is on the upper left side of the assembly.

The A/C condenser is located in the front drivers side of the trunk near the battery and windshield washer motor. It is a round black plastic do-hicky. One more thing to yank if you are trying to loose weight.

BTDT!!!

There are some obvious brackets from the top which must be removed....then you pull and pull on it and wonder why the hell its not coming out!

Sound familiar??? There's a bracket on the bottom!

Remove the carpet and plywood plate in the passenger's footwell. You will see an air intake for the A/c unit here with a little bracket thing holding it in. Remove this...3 phillips screws I believe and the box will pull right out.

Nick.

Sorry 89, I found a use for it! I got the condenser out and removed the last of the ac hosing. Thanks guys

Now that little plastic thingy is my minimal toolbox.

I'm trying to find the right minimum tool kit for my car. This should be the absolute minimum to
1) Get the car home for many things
2) Not weigh a lot.

No worry about using proper tools; do that at home.

What I have in there is a philips screwdriver, vice-grips, exacto blade, fan-belt tool, flashlight, swiss army knife in glovebox, and electrical tape.

Can't think of anything else. Anyone care to offer advice?
Remember, light, light,light!

Rest is prevention or luck.
