Stolen Race car -RECOVERED

This may be the wrong forum, but great news. I have recovered my 74 RSR replica today. Those who go back to the year 2000 will remember. Here are a couple of shots of the car. Was not raced once stolen and with only a couple of rusted bolts the car is almost ready to go racing. It has been 7 1/2 years since stolen. Those of you who have had race cars stolen it is a long and difficult process "to prove" it is your car.

I truly hope that now you have the car back, the dirtbags who took it are enjoying this holiday season behind bars!

Glad you found it!

The main point is the car is in my basement. Almost like the day it was stolen. At least one person wll spend Christmas day in ail. Can we all see a tear (ha-ha). After the police have finished the investigation I'l post whatever I know form them.
I'm giving a great deal on he 964 cup car brought up to 993 specs. Only dyno time on the 3.8 new engine. Priced to sell.

What I have learned.
Keep a copy of any numbers you may have on your car at home. VIN, Roll cage, etc.
Put a number somewhere on the car and take a pic. Somewhere that is only you would know and is difficult to find.

The main 2 items to get the car were the S/N on the fuel cell on the inside of the tank. I did not know this until 2 days ago. The S/N on the engine and tranny.
The VIN number was replaced and the log book number was filled off

Stealing a race car , unless its leaving the country, is just plain dumb crook business!
Umpteen years ago some schmucks stole a friend's 914-6 race car, with trailer, from in front of his house. The police helicopter found it in someone's back yard within a couple weeks

Congrats on getting your car back !
