I used o-ring grease on the seals when installing. Careful not to get grease on contact area of rocker shaft and rocker bush. Wipe on trailing seal on the shaft and receiving bore on far side of rocker area of the cam house. Prelube rocker a couple times after through the feed hole with regular motor oil.
No leaks or torn seals. Followed the Bruce Anderson method of final torque without holding backside to ensure it was parked.

It seems our host no longer supplies these seals. Anyone know where I can pick up a set?

I can tell you, from experience, that at least on my engine we used a gun cleaning kit---read rifle or shotgun with long rod---chucked into a cordless drill to dress up the rocker shaft bores in the cam housings.

The uppers leak too. Mine did.
Yes, very expensive. And my experience is you need to replace them every time you pull them out. They tear, and worse trap dirt in the groove which squeezes out during assembly, ruining the rocker bushing. Been there, done that. But when they are new and installed, they work really well. |

What happened to all of the photos in the OP's original post? I see none, but do see later photos posted by others.
