Work was just completed on the pole barn. Worked on the w126 yesterday. Got the E-class service done today. The 996TT is just coming out of storage. Will be doing some work on it starting tomorrow. Still need to figure out some storage for the items on the plastic shelves.

I just finished a covid project for my garage: restored a 1950's Craftsman bandsaw and modified it to be able to cut metal as well as wood. I made a custom base out of wood to house a three phase motor with variable frequency drive and gear reduction unit. I can run it slower than 100 feet per minute blade speed or faster than 4000 fpm, and anything in between. Its a nice compliment to my Craftsman drill press I previously restored.

Those tools look fantastic...I've had my eyes on a couple of Curtis and Saylor-Beall compressors, but the only ones I can afford are ancient and I just...don't want to buy anything that heavy that can't drive itself unless I'm sure I can get it in great working shape.

RSW, Have I seen this same garage/ shop on Garagejournal.com about 2-3 yrs ago? That row of windows and countertop space looks familiar. Love the restored tools by the way. Great space too.

It has AMG suspension and bodywork. No idea on the engine. I assume it is just the 5.0L though. Recaro seats-I cannot remember the exact model of seat. It has speakers in the headrests and the air bladders thoughout. AMG steering wheel. It goes like it is angry. Puts a smile on my face. I traced the history of the car from its original owner. He was stationed on an army base in 1984 when it was purchased. The address for when it was shipped back to the US is some sort of nuclear company in Texas....all in the records. I have been doing my best to keep a detailed record.

And your E- class. I've got a W124 as a daily, a S203 for my wife and a W108 for a project. The 911 was shipshape until today. Starter troubles.

Yes, I've got a thread on Garage Journal documenting the build of my garage and assorted projects. Here's a link for those interested - https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=251805

It is a w211, my daily driver. My friend has a w124 cabriolet in imperial red. He was helping me with a water pump today but drove over in another vehicle. I was hoping to take a picture of it.

Do you have a picture of your w124? Always liked them.

It's a stripper- the only options selected were limited slip and delete model designation. A 1990 250D, which means 93 horsepower, 5-speed, and glorious cloth seats.Oh- and plastic hubcaps. I've since gotten Gullideckels for summer.

Fantastic 126 with the significantly better Euro M117 5L . Sounds like you might Recaro Type C chairs, which were $8,000 for a pair when new, arguably THE best seats ever made.

I have a 560SEC that has received much love over the years and gets driven on special occasions and I have my W211 E55 parked next to it
