I think 15 pages in most people recognize that Al is a stand up vendor. But I thought I'd share a quick story. I've been travelling for the last week and a half and just got home. I have a 12 hour window before I take the 964 on a long weekend road trip here in california. Problem is my new ducktail has been mounted, but I don't have a grill. I ordered a piece from Al about 2 weeks ago, but his powder coater has had some delays. He's communicated regularly with me - but we were coming down to the wire and he wasn't going to have my grill to me in time because of his supplier delay. So, he sent me one of another color to use for the weekend. My crisis and poor timing weren't his responsibility, but he helped me out anyway. Its late, and I need to go to bed so I can mount it and get on the road tomorrow morning. I'll post pictures as soon as its done.

Matt

It took us 2 tries to get one to fit my Stratton duck, but we finally got it right. Turned out great, Al!

Lookin good.......give me enough tries.....and eventually I can make it fit. I check every grille against my stock lid to ensure that they will fit. For the glass ducks, I cut the overall size down from stock grille size and that works well for 95% of the ducks....but they do tend to vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.

The template did the trick ...thanks for taking the time to provide that.

regards,
al

Let me echo ASTAR911's question--When will we see these in the catalog? Or are there problems? I have been working from photos of the front valance and it appears that to fit correctly the perforated panel may have to have a slight twist to it. Not hearing anymore from you I have looked at doing my own with a different mounting strategy to accommodate the twist in the panel. Next step will be to demount the fog lights--but I dislike driving the car around with the unfilled holes--ugly! I have also wondered if there is enough space to fit the perforated panel behind the rim of the hole in the valance. Take advantage of the turned lip.

I have now sold quite a few sets of these and the response regarding fit has been good with no mentions of a twist or curve required....however, I do not have any installation pix yet.

regards,
al

PS: I do not have a catalog.........but I do have a website and there seems to be just enough interest for me to add them there soon. To date, all of those who have been interested have had no problem contacting me via PM or my website..... www.x-faktory.com

regards,
al

x-factory grilles

I did "roll" the lower outside corners of the fog delete grilles to better fit my valance. Your install may vary - also included is a pix of the reflector and deck lid grilles - very happy with the products.
