interior pictures- i want inspiration from you

hey guys,

for the last few years i have been working on my 81 911sc, the engine, tranny, suspension, brakes ect ect are all rebuilt or new- however i have the interior and body left- im leaving the body for last so my main project now is the interior. i have a few ideas on what i would like to do, however im just not ready to push foward till i see a few more options-

I'm hoping to see interiors that are super clean or modified- from semi stock to all out race - i would like to see everything i can- any year any model
just looking for a few last ideas before i jump into this. i was also hoping to see racing seats or non stock seats in earler cars to get an idea of what i would like to go with-

thanks guys!!!

my car is stock and some what lame so pictures are more or less what you find on google, I am an electrical engineer and have always loved switches and LED's etc. I have always wanted to do a king of spaceship like race car like combo. I have a 924s that may become this dream one day but that is long down the road.
The idea was to have total control over every thing, basically every thing would be switch controlled using red covered, LED lit switches, those kind of missile launch things. Have some form of a screen type stereo, all sorts of status light etc. It defiantly has to take more than just a key to start the car. Race seats of course. more than the stock gauges, Volt meter, amperage meter, and i always wondered how fuse breakers would work in stead of fuses. All dash mounted and what not.

best of luck
dave

Great thread! I hope the OP is as inspired as I am by these pics as my interior is bone stock except for 930 wheel and strategically cracked/split dash. Fred, the console delete with A/C controls relocated to ashtray is genius and I am officially stealing that idea for my car!

Q for R K T

Very nice! Did you have the carpets and mats custom stitched/bordered?

Thanks, Gordo

Aluminium dash trim you can get from Rennline, and I am sure you can get it threw Pelican as well.

For the suede dash, the stuff in my car is alcantara and was custom done.

To everyone who used rs carpet kits. Did you install them yourself or did you hire someone to? I'm not the best with my hands but ive been quoted $200-500 dollars for installation so i'd like to save that if possible
