Looks similar to the footwell on my old 928! I have no doubt you are the man to get'er done Roar. Certainly you have worked some real magic so far on a car many would have walked away from.

The bodyshop is workin on getting it sealed up and prepped under before the suspension is put on to be able to move it a little easier ![]() I have been working on the engine a litte. Everything is now put back together and the muffler as been mounted quite happy with the outcome![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Roar Last edited by roarmac; 04-05-2013 at 12:43 PM.. |

It is amazing how under all that exotic technology, so much of the original early cars still exist in that design. That is interesting to see where old and new come together.
The next steps should be exciting!

Rebuilidng the 959
Hi Guys.
A few more interesting things ![]() I managed to buy a tool kit the other day Here is the full kit. ![]() Here is mine: ![]() As you can see, I`missing a few bits. If anyone of you can help with the remaining it would be perfect. The others are 911 stuff pretty much, but still rear. I bought it of a very nice guy in England that has a great knowledge of this cars after owning them over the years. Great to meet fellow enthusiasts. Here are a couple of pics of two new tip caps for the exhaust. ![]() ![]() I wander if I`m to paint them or not? Original they are painted, but i think they could look very nice just polished up. When I was in Germany I was stopped on the Autobahn and offered this tool ![]() I do not know what it is for, but it certainly look like a tool they have used on a dishwasher or something like that ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Regards, Roar Last edited by roarmac; 04-06-2013 at 02:25 PM.. |

Maybe it's a switch to turn red lights to green!
(I can't imagine what kind of money people are getting for treasures like tool kits for a 959. But I do love this thread.)

you might wander...Just imagine the engineer at Porsche when he was done with that diagnostic tool... He must have been quite happy with himself. Red is bad, green is good. Perfect ![]() What I have learned by dealing with this 959 project is that there are several types of people that have owned the cars.. Mostly very rich people, but some with great passion. The people with great passion really like that "the crazy Norwegian"is restoring it and spending time and money getting this classic back on the road and very much would like to help. And again the reason for posting the info, is to let people get to know more about the 959 ![]() Roar |

Roar - I believe Wayne Dempsey made a diagnostic tool just like that one. If you search you will probably find out why he made it.

Rebuilding a Porsche 959
Hi guys.
Finally things are starting to finalize. Now there is progress in the build. ![]() ![]() ![]() As most of you know, some parts are NLA for this car, such that this part had to be made... Some of you may say that is wrong since it should be an all original car... But no alternative really ![]() Roar |
