AJ,
I recommend it, even if you do NOT install LEDs. It should have been there from the factory if you ask me. It is, however, very simple to do when you have the out to install the LEDs. You'll find the lead coming from the light switch easily (it is the only lead that comes from there, leading to the combination gauge. Install an inline fuse and you are set. Takes 10 minutes tops. The LEDs have a far lower draw than the stock bulbs (they consume about 10% of what a normal bulb does), so a 5A fuse is more than adequate). Last edited by Etarga; 09-22-2013 at 10:27 PM.. |

Thanks, but not being familiar with wiring, I will need some help on how to do this. I will search the boards to see if anyone has done an illustration.

Chalk up another satisfied customer....the new LED's from Etarga look and work great.
NOTE: I went ahead and removed the steering wheel and adaptor hub (930S steering wheel). I didn't want to monkey around with the tach removal too much. It's not a difficult job, just some extra time...but worth it. Also: I started the gauge removal process by opening the frunk and pushing the gas gauge (far left) out from the frunk. After that, I reached into the holes from inside the cab and gently slid them out.

AJ were you able to find some info on pelican on the wire? Let me know I may be able to find some details.
Stone - thank you for the ++ feedback, glad to hear you are happy with the upgrade. I have a few sets of ultra high power brake/ tail/ turn signals ready to go. No mods needed, just replace the bulbs with my LEDs. 2 year warranty on those as well, and HECK THEY ARE BRIGHT

Thanks for following up. Yes I did find the link from FL911SC and I was able to install an inline fuse after getting the fuse holder, connectors, heat shrink tubes, and a butane torch. I then proceeded to install the LEDs today. I had a tough time with the Tachometer, and I was able to install the white lights by reaching in from the oil press gauge side and speedo gauge side. Unfortunately I could not get at the high beam so the blue LED will be on hold for now. Jake, those LEDs look great! I was going to post a picture, but I think everyone knows how good they look on the dash from previous posts. I also wound up installing the headlight relay kit from JWest and upgraded the headlight bulbs to the 100 watts. An overall good day!

Just joined because I wanted to contact eTarga about his led package. I'll hold off because I ordered some at Amazon...we'll see how they work. If they suck, I'll contact you. I also ordered some cree bulbs...any opinions ?

Unfortunately, ETarga's LEDs are my first foray into upgrading the dash lighting. I wound up buying them after reading the feedback from the forum and his 2 year warranty. Drago is the resident expert on LED lighting. You can PM either one to get their opinions. Btw, don't forget to install an inline fuse with your headlight switch. I am not an electrician yet I found it easy to do. Good luck!

Hey Jake, got all the LED bulbs and have installed the turn signals. MAN are those things bright! I feel like I have Singer 911 turn signals!
These are state of the art and work perfectly! I used a very thin strip of electrical tape around the turn signal shaft so that they fit snuggly in the old sockets. Here is a link of the first test of the bulbs. In this video, I have the tail light lenses off and you can see my tail lights that are older style LEDs from Radiantz. They work great, but the new ones are very light and are multi directional. The new ones are in a whole new league! Very satisfied! Lemme know when you get the ambers, I want them. ![]() LED Turn Signals - YouTube Here's a pic of the LED tail light bulb: ![]() I'll be installing the gauge LEDs this weekend. Cheers, - Craig_D

I can't help but notice that the picture of the bulb above shares identical black markings with those that I've purchased from SuperBrightLEDs. The most distinguishable is the cursive G under the right side of the led under the serial number of the circuit board (right at 3 o'clock in the picture above just to the left of the single led).
This is a front turn signal bulb that I haven't installed yet from SuperBright... Any thoughts on this??? Last edited by Uneekone; 10-16-2013 at 08:00 PM.. |

Craig - THANK YOU for posting the feedback AND the video. That looks great (fantastic sounding car by the way!)
Uneekone, the ones from SuperbrightLEDs are 220 lumens, mine are almost double that. That is why mine look so bright. So - Same price, BIG difference. But I do agree they look similar when they are not lit up, so you have a point there. That is, however, not what I was after, and perhaps we use a similar circuit board - I don't know. I do know that it is brightness that counts. The tail/brake lights are the same brightness as the turn signals in Craig's video. You WILL be seen

Yours also have 3 more LEDs on each of the side panels which is definitely better.
Craig- Can you post a video of the brake lights illuminating when the tail lights are already on? That is one complaint I have about the SBL bulbs-the ones they have for the brake lights- is that there isn't a drastic difference between the two brightness levels... |

Oh, it's not the only thing that can be annoying.

Brightness in a turn signal is pretty important. Like on some motorcycles I own, the sun can reflect off of the large tail light covers, making the incandescent bulb almost impossible to see over the reflection.
A bright brake light and bright turn signals are supposed to be "annoying" or in other words, attention grabbing. That's why I've been improving not only the brightness of these lights, but also the earlier actuation of the brake lights themselves as I describe HERE. Etarga's LED brake/signal lights are very good. Cheers, - Craig
