Source needed for Tartan plaid materials

I am looking for a source for the Tartan "madras" interior materials for
72-77 seat inserts and side panels. From research this was available as both fabric and leatherette.Auto's international is sending what they have.... seeking other sources as well
Thanks for assistance
Frank

The 72-74 Madras havn't been redone, and I've only found these pictures of the oe material.

The 75-77 Tartan seems to show up every now and then at different upholstery shops.

You might want to try David Nunn at Southbound in the UK. Here's a link to an old picture of of one of the 3 tartan colors that were originally available.

Good luck! I've reproduced the houndstooth, and looked at doing the Madras but it was too costly.

cheers,
Eric

Tartan plaid materials

Eric
Thanks very much for your info and photo's .Also checked the bus
plaids, they are very different, The one I that caught my eye was
pictured on page 114 of "Original Porsche 911" published in 1995-1998
by Peter Morgan. The plaid is in an early Turbo [1976-1977].It is
red with some purple....my 911 is aburgene [purple/eggplant]
would be quite cool as insert to sport seats and side panel..
more commentaries are welcome.

Did this about 10 years ago, the fabric was from a mid 70's Dodge pickup [shrug] I found in a big pile of remnants at a auto trip shop. The car is lime green, so I can get away with this!

If you are not concerned about originality this company has a great choice of plaid.
