So can I rationalize along the same line of logic that guys like you are jealous? Makes sense now.

Pleco I'm in no way attacking you but why do you put yourself through this
I mean do you really need to ask us price advise on a car that you have been searching for for all these years?

With all the shopping you have been doin on these cars we are the ones that should ask you for price advise

Just buy the god damn thing and the next thread you start should be an "introducing my new 911 thread"

If you start a thread Monday that the PPI was bad and you walked watch out cause it won't be pretty

Jealous of what? I have cars, and I drive them.

Not jealous at all .. happen to have two Porsche's a Mocha Brown 911 and a white 914 ...

Staylo by the way has a 911 (the only other Mocha Brown I have seen) ... and I doubt he is jealous of you either ...

The biggest difference from us to you is that we have cars and do drive them ...

You on the other hand are a professional looker ..

this thread and your previous others have absolutely NO TECH VALUE at all ...

Do us all a favor and place your next post in the market place or valuation forum ...

Steve .......

Then why bother posting? Why lose your valuable time and energy firing off at me when u can be doing something constructive or enjoyable? I would bet u doubters are miserable ppl in your personal lives.

And btw, when I do find a car and post about it, don't bother befriending me or giving me the e-high five. Save your energy for spewing negativity in another part of your lives.

Not mad, btw.

I agree with 80-911SC, the market place forum seems much more appropriate for these posts.

Not to worry about that .. likely hood is low that you will ever find a car that matches your magical requirements any way ...

But on a serious not .. keep this crap out of the tech section and post in the marketplace .. it belongs there .. and you may find other dreamer that you can do early morning coffee with ....

All you posts do here is clog up the search engine ...

Although it is entertaining me to a point right now ... but it is wearing thin ....

do some searches on me and look at some of the drives etc that I have set up and lead ... 60 cars on New Years Day ... 85 on the 7th of April to Canepa's .. and that's just the last two drives

Trust me know jealousy issues here ...

It's the INTERNET my friend- Heard of it?

I get to comment. Them's the rules.

Don't like it- SHUT UP and stop posting until you either buy a damned car or talk about other stuff.

No horse in this race- But I have a serious passion for these cars and find it a bit silly that you have drawn in many good intentioned people here in your mythical quest for a car. I'm a little embarrassed that I am posting about it, but it's a fun distraction. (I knew you could not go more than one week without a "What is this car worth" thread)

I enjoy cars- and I enjoy talking about them, fixing them, buying them and DRIVING them. Had my 1988 Ferrari 412 out at a few get-togethers this morning, then took the 89 Carrera Cab out for some spirited backroad driving this afternoon.

Personally, as you can see from the tenor of my posts, I think you are lying to the good folks here. By your own admission you have not REALLY been shopping- You have not even been behind the wheel of one in decades! You never post photos or links until a car is already sold- then it is safe to "claim" you were pursuing it. No reports of test drives or hands on condition reports- because you have not been inside of one.

Again- it's a disservice to the air-cooled Porsche community to make it seem like there are no good cars out there, or that finding a run-of-the-mill 80's SC or Carrera should take a decade.

So there you go- I think you're a liar- prove me wrong. Go buy one and then these kinds of pointless threads can be behind us forever, and you can enjoy the thrill of driving a classic Porsche. You really should... it's a blast!

That's what it's all about- isn't it- the DRIVING!!

If I was on the Left Coast I'd be right out there with you!

Nothing original about that car- Franken-Porsche with the worst front bumper I've seen... I think his "BIN" is optimistic by at least $10k-

Curious to see what problems the ppi comes up with tomorrow.

In 2 years your will all be kicking yourselves for not snatching up a 930 for $30k. These are the next early s / 356...

Car

3 years ago I got back into Porsches. ....bought my 15th or so from my brother..black sc with a 3.6......had to have a talbott yellow 1980 a buddy was selling....sold those two.....last year bought a 1975 us Carrera again from my brother..also with a3.6......uh oh saw a good deal on a 993.... Better buy it too...drove it for a few months...sold...guy comes to buy it..sees Carrera bus it too! No porsche! Always wanted a 996 tt. Bought a white one......oh geez my son wants to sell his perfect 1987 g-50 white Carrera.....he found a hot rd sc for himself....gotta do the right thing and help my son!

Anyway......my point is....I'm not a rich guy but I'm so glad I've went through all these cars...I can't imagine sitting on the sidelines wishing I found just the right one...I've drove some really cool ones...pretty much for no cost....one day I'll find the one I'll never sell but for now I'm loving the way things are rolling. Mike
