Thanks Jake! Your post makes me want to go get the turbo out of storage and take it for a drive :)

In an attempt to eliminate the two scavenge pumps we were using on the car, we had a custom oil line fabricated that goes directly from the turbo and into the sump of the engine. The sump pump is more powerful than any scavenge pump and the gravity feed line will keep the oil out of the turbo....hopefully 😉

How is this gravity drain holding up?
This is a very nice and neat bit of fabrication.

Works flawlessly! Zero issues. If my memory is correct, we modified the part that goes into the case to have a banjo fitting for the line to attach to. Otherwise the parts had to be clocked just right for alignment AND be tight enough to not have leaks. The banjo fitting allowed flexibility in the clocking.

Is that a banjo?
That’s an awesome part!!! I want one too. Sell me a kit?

That’s not the banjo version. I’ll try to get a pic of that later and post it.

Really not an option for most turbo cars since they don’t have the side drain plug like the 3.6/3.6 motors. Mine started out as a 965. Otherwise you would need to make a modified sump plate cover but be careful since it would hang down lower.
