Getting ready for a rally next week so dropped off the 3.2 to get turbo tie rods installed, ride height adjusted (lowered), and toe and chamber set.

Kuehl A/C Fan Speed Controller
Installed (and finished today) the Kuehl A/C blower speed control on my '88. This allows infinite speed adjustments to the blower versus the stock 3-speed set-up. Also provides a panel mounted LED to indicate system status. Total time spent was about 12 hours but I took my time and proceeded with caution...working with 35 year-old plastic. System eliminates the current resistors and uses a modern solid state motor control. Very nice, high-quality kit. I like the results.

Custom Volt Gage Install
Since the Dolphins were dropping 70 points on my dysfunctional Broncos, finally installed my John Bell triple with voltage. Some minor trials with connections, but installed, and op tested. The triple with AFM is next to it - installing the AEM WBO2 and connecting is next up on my to-do list, then spring plates.

Should get SP plates and eliminate this issue.

Antomero - are installing a club sport valence? I am looking at this down the road. I have never used fog lights, and not sure I ever will.

Attended a PCA HPDC yesterday at Summit Point. First time taking the 3.2 on a track. Was a good time however, I was the only air-cooled in the clinic but it was fun nonetheless--had a great instructor that was very knowledgable about aircooleds so that was nice.
The skidpad was crazy fun as expected... Tracking the 3.2 was pretty intense, stressful, and exhilarating. During the second group's 1st session run, there was unfortunately a wreck involving two Caymans, luckily none of the four occupants were seriously injured but they were all taken to the local hospital to be checked out. What I heard was one of the caymans lost his brakes and t-boned the other at one of the curves. It definitely put a somber note on the rest of day and seeing the wrecked cars being towed out put into clear focus how there is not much room for error on the track and, more importantly, the risks and trust that the instructors put with the drivers in an effort to teach them to be better drivers with their cars. But learned a lot and it was good to get some track time in the Carrera. ![]()
