And I managed to get the whole assembly re-installed into the car. Huge improvement!

I am all thumbs, and have to change the IAC on a 1988 911. Should I not even attempt to do it myself?

It must be my lucky day…
No heat, PB blaster, 2 tap at the end of the stud (5oz hammer) and a stud extractor: 12 Steel Studs on top and 12 Divilar Studs at the bottom...

Installed the Long Beach radio from Retro Sound. Includes SiriusXM, iPhone compatibility, 2 USB ports, Bluetooth, and more. Works really well. I wish they had a Porsche 911 specific install kit but I used their DIN repair kit and was able to perform a very clean install with the unit mounted solid and secure. For the casual observer it looks like a vintage OEM style radio. They have no idea it is a modern unit. Porsche enthusiasts and concours judges would notice the difference but most will not. Love the quality, features, and sound!
I still need to add some basketweave trim behind the radio bezel.

Swapped out the stock under-dash vents for the Ächtung Kraft units. A big thumbs up for these. Had the targa top off this morning at 45º and the heat was blasting my passenger and I right at our lower torso's keeping us toasty warm.
Guessing the fresh-air blast in warm temps will be equally appreciated. Definitely worth the price of admission. FYI: To make these fit on my '71 Targa I had to grind away about 1/16" from the back edge. Once I did that the fit was perfect. Stock vent on the left, Ächtung Kraft on the right. Directs the air right at you!

Finished up my Rennshift install this morning and drove to work.
First impression.....OMG why didn’t I do this sooner. I don’t know if it’s the rennshift, stomski coupler, new engine/trans mounts or a combo of them all but it’s transformed the car. The shifting has gone from “stick in a bucket of paint” to “closing the bolt on a Lee Enfield” The only issue I have is getting my old shift knob back on. It was a bear to get off (forget tapping it off with a 15mm wrench, it took a strap wrench and a lot of effort) and I can’t seem to get it all the way seated with the old crush sleeve. I’m going to try a heat gun next and as a last resort I may just spring for a new threaded knob. |

I talked my Drivers Side Spring Plate to let go
fought for 3 weeks, soaked with PB Blaster, bought $85 worth of 36" pry bars, read all of the forums, finally popped it off with $1.38 of wood shims, took all of 5 minutes

I like those LED instruments lights, I may have to include that into my spring projects.

I have a set of each in different cars. The soft white is the way to go.
