Maintenance Log
Has anyone created and would like to share their Excel or Google Drive spreadsheet template which lists the routine maintenance items and intervals for a Carrera? I would like to record the mileage, date and cost of the maintenance done and be reminded when a task is due.

Not sure if this helps anybody, but for due dates I do all my maintenance by dividing the actual mileage by my intended interval - for example if my odo is divisible by 5, I change my oil. If it's divisible by 25 (or 50 if I get lazy) I adjust the valves, tighten the intake bolts, etc.
This sounds obvious, but what I mean is I round up or down the actual mileage so the counter 'resets' on every interval to the nearest 5k mark so it's never a goofy number to remember. Chuck.H '89 TurboLookTarga, 362k miles |

Maybe I'm too "old school," but personally I find this a lot easier to do with a plain old columnar ledger book and a pen! You can keep it in the shop and make entries in it right then and not have to worry how clean your hands are and about grunging up the keyboard!

^^ agreed, I tried once to keep excel logs....but they tended to end up as transcribed logs of what was in my ledger....so why double account? I now just use my ledger.

Yes, PM me with your email and I will send you mine or an extract thereof.
It is a hybrid of practical ***** i started and modified with some info from folks whose hair was gray-er than mine at the time. It contains 5 yrs of info, was updated today (because she was aligned yesterday), and is not sexy. Notes go in a separate file.

I have a 3 ring binder that I use. I take standard college rule lined paper and make the following columns. Date, Miles, Work Performed, Where Done, Cost. I then put it and any receipts, in page protectors. Since oil changes are the most frequent, as a quick reference, I darken in the "O" in the word Oil. I do this for all my cars. For re-occurring maintenance items like the oil changes I write it in as such..... Oil Change, Shell Rotella 15W-40, Mahle filter, Due again at xxx, xxxx miles.

I found a hard copy of a check list that I think people would like to have, but I do not know how to attach it.
