that was scary. that guy is probably a very good driver. I think he just misjudged where he needed to start braking and had way too much speed to scrub off. that car must be pretty powerful to come off the corner before that fast.

My guess is he was looking too forward and possibly saw the continuation of the track on the other side of the water or saw another road on the other side of the water. Maybe he saw what looked like a straight away (but it wasn't).
Also, if you slow the video down, it does look like he turns the wheel (at the last point we can see the front wheels) but unfortunately, they are already locked up and steering is useless. Last edited by Tidybuoy; 09-23-2013 at 09:07 PM.. |

you can see some steering input while the wheels are locked prior to impact but locked wheels dont steer.

It seems that bystanders did not move to help. The reaction should have been to rush to help these guys with their head under water. What a shame.
