That's the Behr factory A/C with that monster York compressor.
Seems like a very nice S, wonder what the reserve is...

I emailed him, sometimes the say what it is. I'm realy intrested in this one. I'm not to crazy about the A/C, and I think it would be better without but I guess it could come in handy someday. I'm just into pure sports car, no luxery.

Please find out who did the work on this car. If the car was worked on by Sports Car Specialty in Roebuck South Carolina, please contact me. If not, still check on it, but my worries are not a concern on this car. Also, find out it this was a Euro car from Canada.
If, the above mentioned company worked on it about 7 years ago or it was originally a Euro car, please contact me. Marc |

Marc? You probably have a better computer screen than I...is the shock tower body color? (see engine compartment pic) Any yes, if memory serves, that looks like the same a/c set up my '70T had. It worked very well...when the outside air temp was below 70 degrees.

Hey Paul,
You are right... the shock tower is orange. By the way, my monitor stinks also. On it's way out! The reason why I was curious about the car is because I know of a car that sounds like this one that was a basket case from Canada that was no longer salvagable except for the mechanicals and interior. Some guys in South Carolina had a shell that they cut in half, welded it up and transplanted everything into while maintaining the proper VIN. Marc |

Kind of hard to say for sure about the shock tower or underside of deck lid ... because of the shadow, but the exterior CERTAINLY ISN'T Signal Orange!
Nothing wrong with my 21" Sony monitor, but I AM used to seeing that shade ... after 24.6 years! It is Signal Yellow ... just like the avatar! Yeah, don't you just love those (0) feedback sellers that can't spell and apparenty flunked freshman english class! Or, maybe he thinks the 'crude' ad will lull buyers into a state of complacency! Don't you just know what California Classix could have done with this one!!!

911S
In response to Marcs' comments about the 911s basket case, from So. Carolina. I can tell you that this car has never been in So. Carolina. This car comes from Fla. and if someone had cut it in half, and welded it back together, I would hire that welder tomorrow. Anyone who is truly serious about this car, my telephone numbers are posted on the e-bay site.
A Special THANKS goes to Curtis for giving me a heads up on this site |

Is the avatar orange, too? BTW, my paint code is '114' ... Signal Yellow!
... just wondering?

Pictures can be deceiving. My '70T is Signal Orange but, depending on the lighting, it can sometimes look almost yellow and, other times, tangerine. Check out my website and see for yourself: http://members.rogers.com/duross/

No, you're avatar is yellow...hard time telling if it is signal or bahama, but definitely yellow.
Of course I've been throwing up all day with food poisoning, so maybe I'm just delirious

My apologies to Fred, with whom I have upset. This was furthest from my mind, but ironically enough the car that I am talking about was traded for an early Turbo out of Florida.
I have no way of knowing anything more about this car since Sports Car Specialty (owned by Greg Godbout, 864-574-0453) has probably gone out of business. These were the guys that put a 1971 911 "S" targa (orange and Euro) together, but they did not misrepresent their creation. I had them add the air thinking I was going to accept this car. The guy from Florida I was talking about traded the early 911 Turbo for the car as an even trade, but the Turbo, as luck would have it, needed work. His shop burned to the ground with my 73RS prototype car in it. The car I was inquiring about was brought in for me as a partial payback and I refused it, which is why I have been asking questions about this car. The fact that Fred knows his car, is enough for me to back off and the fact that is not a Euro car proves that I am on the wrong track. Fred... sorry about asking the questions and I certainly didn't mean to offend you. Please put more of a description of your car on Ebay... it looks like a very nice car. You will benefit from adding to it. More pictures would help as well. All The Best, Marc Weintraub Last edited by marc weintraub; 08-31-2002 at 05:17 PM.. |
