Looking forward to pics...
They seem thick enough. I have to admit I'm not an expert on these things but the quality looks pretty good. Whether they fit correctly and how they look on the seats themselves remains to be seen. I can take some pics tonight of the kits.

I wasn't able to get mine to the upholstery shop this weekend...instead the car had a trip to the mechanic with a starting problem. As soon as I get the car back I will take the seats out and take to the shop. I have a business trip so it may be next week.

I think the kits are sewn in house in Houston, but I couldn't verify. The FedEx tracking number stated origin from Houston, so that would be my guess.

Man, if someone posts shots of their product pro installed, and the fit is good, there will be a lot of orders going in...

I'm having mine put in my 996 tomorrow and will try to post some pics after lunch. I bought the type that fit the sport seats out of a boxster. I have boxster red interior and the covers are pretty close in color but not spot on. From what I gather the shop said that they had to use some material for some thing or other-I'll try to find out more tomorrow.

Ok so I picked up my seats and put them in the car. Like I said they are not spot on but close enough for me. Some of the wrinkles in the seats should smooth out as they get warn in. So I guess for the $300 bucks vs. the $1800 my upholster quoted I'm very happy. The seats I purchased on ebay could have been better so we had to pad the seats just a little. Sorry for the phone pictures but you can see the difference between my original boxster red (just a tad more orange in it) and the dark red that they offer. I suppose in black there shouldn't be much differnce. Just be sure to order a swatch before ordering.

Certainly looks good from here. I'm even thinking about getting the LSEAT burgundy covers and then dying them to more closely match my interior. Still money ahead.

Meh. For the $ they are fine. But they don't appear to meet the standard I require for my car. Too bunchy. I was hopeful. I am disappoint.

Just use a Steamer and those wrinkles will come out. Surprised installer did not do that, it is SOP for most installers but that is with their own leather.

Here is mine from a local supplier I installed. $750 full leather front and back

Just make sure you keep the steamer moving placing in one spot too long will damage the leather.

I dropped mine off yesterday to the upholstery shop. They will be back tomorrow. Immediately the upholsterer said that the perforation pattern is different. He called it american pattern vs. German. After he pointed it out I noticed it too. The holes are closer together in the Lseat kits. He also said he normally has a hard time getting leather with the correct pattern.

Not impressed with the form and fit. Horrible. My upholsterer said he had a heck of time installing them. Loose in some places, too tight in another. I hope the leather relaxes a bit but there's no way it will relax enough to get rid of those wrinkles. The color is off a little. I'm going to live with it.

GREAT work on seats Jim. And pic/doc/thread... f'in EXCELLENT. Will definitely refer to that when diving into my seats.

I guess I'm not surprised. You get what you pay for, generally.
