Post Is this normal?

I have an 82 sc and was told the rule of thumb for oil pressure was 1 bar over 1 thousand. for example if im at 2 thousand at the tach my oil pressure should be 3 bars anyways once the car got hot i had the tach at 4 grand an the oil druck was at 31/2 is this normal?

That seems a bit low to me. I've heard the same 1/1000 rule and my car has always followed it more or less. Of course, once you get into the upper ranges it's impossible to use as it tops out at 5. My first question would be: what weight oil are you running?

pretty much normal. use 20/50 oil, you're choice of brand. i like kendall. if it gets 4bar (60#) at 4500 hot, that's normal.
