More 17" BZ wheels are finding their way onto cars. This one's a 930 with 17x 9 and 17x11 wearing 225s and 275s for that stretched look.

Another happy 17" BRAID customer. These are 17x9 et30 fronts with 225/40-17 Nitto N05 fronts and 17x11 et0 rears with the same tire in 315/37-17. He reports 1 degree of negative camber front and rear and a little bit of toe in for the fronts. The car is at euro spec height and now car tracks straight, with no tramlining or rubbing and truly a pleasure to drive compared to the 18 inch rims he had on prior. It's also worth noting that these are polish silver not are usual anodized.

Just want to add to the BRAID thread.

Was on my way to an event in Michigan and had time to visit the BRAID space in Pontiac.

It was a sheer delight. Paul had waited with a kettle for tea ready and showed me around the shop and any wheels I wanted to look at. the BZ 17s in RSR finish were particularly sharp as were a set of 15s in ice blue that sadly were the wrong offset for my car of I'd have left with them.

The wheels are stunning all around and I will definitely be getting a set when budget allows. A real class operation

Here's a so-so iphone photo of a nice 7 inch 16 BZ wheel

Thanks Paul.

We can offer ET49 replicas in 15", 16", 17" and 18". Not much lip to speak of but probably the same as the original 7r wheels:

We can also offer most of our Fullrace, 3 piece or Forged wheels in similar specs.

Should be ET0 rear and ET30 front if they are 11" and 9" as most are.

What diameter are the wheels shown in this photo? 15"? I'd like to know if it's possible to get the deep six look on a 16" wheel. All of the factory 16" wheels that I've seen have a wider, stepped lip (if that makes sense... not sure exactly how to describe it). I assume that additional step is where the extra inch of diameter comes from.

I'd like to eventually upgrade to 16s for better tire selection but keep the deep six look on my 72 narrow body car, not go to the SC wheel look if possible. I know SC style wheels can be painted to look like early wheels but the shape is much different.

RSM-M491,

That Targa is gorgeous. I looked at the "before" pictures in your garage... The wheels make it look so much better.

They look like 15" to me. Your assumptions about 15" vs, 16" are correct: stepped lip, same center.

Unfortunately we don't offer the deep six look on any of our BZ wheels. Actually, that's not exactly true; we could make a fully custom set of wheels but your are talking about thousands. If I understand deep six correctly it has a center that curves back at it's periphery to reveal or allow a deeper looking dish with more rim area apparent. We do offer the RSR finish on everything though.

I imagine it is possible to take an actual deep six and weld or cut it up to create a 16" version. Not sure if it's financially feasible or ethically appropriate though.

Hi Gang, Just became a registered user as I just acquired my 87 3.2 in November. My first post is to show my 17" Braid BZs. The build quality on these wheels looks to be extremely good. I went with pretty conservative sizes of 7s with 205/50s and 8s with 225/45s. My car originally had 15s so, for me the visual impact as well as the ride difference is pretty dramatic. I think the stance with 17s on this generation is perfect. Gives it an updated look but not over the top. I also just completed the side stripe. I designed it to emulate the Singer style graphics. Really happy with the way that came out too!

Jim
