The clocks are in.... the lighting wasn't brilliant and I am using my phone, but they have turned out better than I imagined...

Greg had also ground down my indicator stalks to look like a pre73 setup.

Gauges look very good, very custom. How was the experience with Reap, he gets some critical comment at times?

It wasn't very straightforward and there were a few deadline issues, but we got there in the end...😠

Thought it was time to join in on this.
Glenn from Awesome here.
Those gauges fitted into Rockets car look better by eye than by any of the selection of photos.
The angles and ways it brings a normally flat set of dials to life is stunning.
We have another 911 in the shop and comparing the two dashboards, the other car screams out "I'm missing something", which tells us its an upgrade essential and will be part of the Rocket Wrench parts coming through soon.
:-)

I had to agree with his logic, so as this is a restomod I wanted something that looked more modern without taking away the 70s feel of the car.

So, we discussed a lot of vinyls and I decided on this: Diamante, DIA-6615 Carbon

Diamante*DIA-6615*Carbon Vinyl fabric

It has a matt finish so should reduce glare on the rare sunny days we have in England. I'm seeing the guys on Friday and hopefully will get some better photos, but I think Greg used a heat gun and with another pair of hands stretched it over the dash for a snug fit. I can't wait to see it, but from the photos it has turned out even better than I expected.
lol never mind, you already posted the source

Help needed:

When the car was resprayed the doors were removed and the wiring disconnected. The paint shop forgot the connect the wires, so the doors have to come off again to reconnect them, as well as feed through some new automotive speaker cable - the previous owner used domestic, single strand wire for a gramophone...

Whilst doing this, I thought it would be a good time to address another door issue in that the gaps are all wrong. The driver door appears to have dropped a bit, and the passenger door is too forward, leaving a bigger gap on the handle size.

How do I fix the gaps? Please help....

I bought a shim kit from our host to fix my door gap and height issues. But honestly I'm scared to death to start messing with this stuff. My first issue will be that the hardware is so painted over that I cannot begin to get a tool into any of them. But I need to tackle this, my passenger door has dropped so far that it takes an act of God to open it.

Following you on Insta now. Been a long-time follower on this thread, though. Your taste is exquisite, at least to me, and what is taste if not subjective
