Switch out power windows?
How hard is this to do?
I would rather have reliable manual windows than not so reliable power windows. What is needed for this type of project, and is it a DIY type job?

I have often wondered about this. Has there ever been a Sports Coupe conversion pkg? Otherwise seems like an ugly job.

This is interesting. I always felt the manual windows in my '78SC were an asset to the car. I also have a single driverside flag and no fogs and the "Sport" package with spoiler, fuchs, etc.
Somebody told me this was a "German spec" package for the US cars which I hadn't heard of?? The guy in Lake Oswego who originally purchased this car fitted it out well I think. No fat, lots of meat! I'd think your transiton from power to manual would be pretty straightforward. Many donor cars I would think, and you might consider RS inner door panels for the car at this time. These cars are like Lego! Mix and match! John

I had a problem with my power windows and came across this thread-- http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?threadid=31414&highlight=manual+window%2A.
It may be helpful. On the other hand, Bentleys has a great chart of the wiring scheme for the windows that solved my problems.
