ROW door jamb stickers

Hey all you out there with ROW cars. What do the codes mean and how do they differ from year to year and country to country?
What I'm getting at is, to do a proper restoration on a ROW car, it should have these stickers, but unlike the US delivered cars, its not as simple as a VIN and a date.

The photo below was from a 77 Carrera 3.0.

Post some shots of your stickers and the year

TIA

Tom

Were similar labels used in '73 RoW cars?

I'm hoping someone from across the pond will chime in.

European Homologation

As far as I know, by 1974 there was an european homologation agreement regarding safety devices and emissions that was agreed upon by most of the european countries. This did not mean that all the countries had the exact same regulations, but was a first attempt to try to homologate and clarify the different norms of each country by a alphanumeric code. I do not know exactly which country or countries represents each code (E1, E2 etc) but it was put in cars as they left the factory to show to which countries they met the current norms. Because each country had a different set of norms they fit into each of the E1, E2 etc. categories and their sub categories (the smaller numbers below).
Pawel at Carbone can recreate them if you are repainting your car, and if they where lost during a previous repaint he can find out exactly which decals where in your specific car and recreate them for a perfect restoration finish.
Hope this helps.
