Turn signal

I'm in the process of fixing a non working turn signal and was wondering if a bad relay could keep just one of the front signals from working. I've cleaned the connections and tested with no intermitent power when the signal is on for my drivers side front blinker.
The hazard light switch won't power it, but the parking lights will.
Could a turn signal relay do this?

Rick

i'm tracking down a similar problem on my '73 911E. i posted my steps on monday (1 reply).

when applying my turn signal, my passenger rear light flashes correctly, but the passenger front assembly does not flash. however, when i turn on my lights, the passenger front assembly iluminates normally. so i've eliminated the bulbs as the culprit.

i'm at the point of concluding that i have a bad relay, or a bad ground to that front light assembly. and i'm leaning toward the relay !

Lightbulb

I had the same prob....did you jiggle the bulbs in the socket, while the sig is on? I couldnt figure out what the h*ll was wrong with mine, that solved it! At the same time I was T/S my sigs, I replaced the turn sig switch, relay and all bulbs........they all work nicely now!

I wouldnt waste my time with one of those cheapies.....unless you really need the car. Use it as a temp fix. I used one and the whole lite system went wacky...

That was my first step was wiggling the bulb, didn't work. I used a light tester to test the(top) copper tab which is the blinking side of the unit and there was no power going to it. I guess I'll try a new relay, my drivers side rear works fine it's just the drivers side front that I can't get to work. I've been fooling with this blinker for a couple of weeks now and didn't know if a bad relay could stop only one blinker from working ?

Thanks for the posts, Rick

...could someone tell me the appropriate relay for a 1968 911L. If pp has it I will buy today. The one I pulled out over the summer because it was not working (but maybe once was) says;

Hella

91PSTF 2x32Cp12V

Have had this on my desk for months.
