915 split
For some reason I can't split my center case from rear ? All gears are off where nose peice is? Only moves about 3/4 inch? What am I missing

Something similar happened when the roller bearing failed in my 915. The case halves would only separate enough for the mechanic to get a wrench in and undo the bearing retainer nuts. That allowed the case to separate, and all the rollers fell out onto the floor.

Tranny should be in great shape interally. It's fresh rebuild. Taking apart to powder coat caes

Detents are little balls that get loaded into cut outs in the rods to hold it in gear.

That's what I'm following. I didn't see anything about detent until the case is off. I'm pretty sure it in neutral? |
