Installed Leather Engine Pad and noticed Wevo Cradle Mounts
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1594165462.JPG
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1594165462.JPG Both builds live in the garage most of the time... I of course jumped down the rabbit hole because I've been locked up at home. There must have been moisture because the was light surface corrosion everywhere. |
Some Disassembly Required

Removed everything and glass bead blasted and cleared to eliminate the humidity / moisture related corrosion. |
Eastwood Matte Clear is good to 300 Degrees
I've always had good results with Eastwood clear.
It's very durable and easy to clean. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1594166282.JPG The Eastwood metallic metal look paint takes around 4 days cure to a hard finish http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1594166282.JPG The Eastwood clear is dry to the touch in about 15 minutes with 80+ degree high humidity Florida weather. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1594166282.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1594166282.JPG Played around with the faux anodizing paint-it will be hidden under the induction system. Not a real fan but I'll eventually get better at it. (Still keeping it out of sight) Time to call TRUE6 to get it done professionally. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1594166282.JPG |

Pictures are finally loading.
Been working on the two Pcars again and definitely got sidetracked with having 2 Formawerx keys made for the cars. Ordered 2 150 amp alternators and Classic Retrofit electric AC.

Checked all wiring and found that only the factory sheathing was getting old, the quality of factory Porsche wire and the insulation is amazing.
Disassembled the injector wiring harness and created new sheathing with high quality glue lined shrink tube from Wirefy. Then got obsessed and went for all the wiring harnesses. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1684598494.JPG Kitchen is the perfect place to do wiring I'm told... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1684598494.JPG Injector wiring, keep track of left and right banks http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1684598494.JPG Custon switch panel in aluminum with relays http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1684598494.jpg Red Head wired back up after 2+ years, fired back up on the first try. |
