They got either Fikse or Forgeline to make the centers. Aesthetics were based off a real centerlock 5-spoke 935 wheel. But I think the price was pretty hefty back then, like these current ones seem to be.
they also did not look as good/accurate. had a flat lip with no step in them. cheapened the look a bit unfortunately, and iirc dzug couldn't get around it due to manufacturing reasons or something.

Don't get me wrong, they are great wheels. My pick if I were to buy a new set.

Original Campagnolo wheels.

Even Magnus knows a good wheel when he sees it. These are made by Group4 in the UK, a tribute to the Campagnolos. They've promised something for the early cars in 16 and 17 inches but never materialized. There's some vaporware for the newer cars but if you search here you'll see one of the longest wheel threads with people actually looking to purchase.

These are stunning and would like magnifico with the high profile tyre. But to me if its not Fuchs its the 917 wheels, it's just a little bit more raw and simple - a bit like me.

My apologies! I referenced the pricing for the 001 series. For the 003 we require a different center forging and that adds an additional cost.

If only Group 4 made those in 16's and silver....check would be in the mail! I'm also fond of Minilites in 16x9 for the rear and anodized petal Fuchs on the front for an ST look!

I've always like that style of wheel.

I went back to check some of my old TRE / Penta motorsport links, and it looks like they have a new website. I cannot find the wheels similar to the original post anymore.

Guess they have the market to themselves.

The old PDF is still floating about the Internet:
http://www.pentamotorsports.com/pdfs/rim-flyer.pdf

We actually already offer a design that's a modernized tribute to the AMG Penta :

Anyone have pictures of the matte black version of this wheel on their car? Also curious to see 15s, 16s, and 17s.

I agree much to expensive. I find the executed design very cheap looking.

I do however, like seeing alternative wheels on a 911 than fuchs.

Updating a thread started about four years ago.

None of the wheels posted seem to be available anymore.

Has anyone knowledge of "Image" out of the UK?

P917

EDIT: Found a US dealer, but they do not list the P917 on their website.

Cast and heat treated (not forged).

https://www.imagewheels.co.uk/three-piece-cast-alloy-wheels/

Looks built to order, weight would have to be for an equal size of Fuch.

I'm just not there yet project wise, someone more serious could perhaps contact them and post the answer.

If I recall correctly only Minilites and BBS were lighter than Fuch's back in the day, and Penta 917's were at best on par.

Maybe someone more knowledge will be able to speak up and correct me.

Mahle gas burners were the lightest but smaller

Forged Mg is what you want (unless they can get the problems out of CF)

BTW, where are my cheap, reliable ceramic brake rotors for 15" wheels?

Only 9.5 lbs?

No way.

I'm not all pitter patter about the looks, but what a spec.

Old thread on them.
