Great work!
Though I really do think it shealds the lines way too much from fresh air for cooling. I do accept the argument of the G-cars having rocker panels, though theses do not sit that tight/close and the lines are free in the A-pillar area. And as compared to tons of racecars having the lines non-shielded in racing, I see no need to do that at all.

Indentations
Jon,
Did you use an air tool to planish the indents on the jig, or was it all manual? Curious what you anticipate the ratio of air inlets to exhaust to be...or another way of asking, will there be positive pressure in that shroud when complete? |

Speedo ,planning on 5 inlets to 1 exhaust. We will run the system on a current road going 912 with a Polo motor set up and record our findings.Depending on results we may run one size smaller crimped stainless mesh.
I hand/manually chased in the material to the 3 recesses in the jig.thanks Last edited by TheMetalSurgeon; 09-05-2018 at 06:17 AM.. |

Amazes me how you get the sheet metal to seemingly drape over the former like a cloth, or cheddar melting on an angus burger. John.

I am blown away by your craftsmanship, your work is art to say the least.
But i'm scratching my head; What happens to all the door gaps when the car is on its own suspension at final weight? I always thought the dimensions change under load. Maybe that's just myth? But I seem to notice it when using a jack and opening closing doors. |

Masterful work with cool concepts too boot.
One question about cleaning out your new covers from dirt and grit. Do you intend to just flush it out with a hose? Looks like you have some good drain areas.

Jon, beautiful work as always. Is there a way for all the little rocks and sand to escape out the bottom?
