Serious Kevlar turbo intake!
I have an intake that began life as a 964 intake. It was modified and then covered in Kevlar for strength under boost. This is the plastic design so it outflows the aluminum version. It has less heat soak especially with the kevlar wrap. I was going to paint the intake to match my car. Most people are seeing about 40-50+rwhp from this intake over a worked 3.2 intake. This intake will set you apart from the run of the mill intakes. Project went another direction so I am selling it. I will take 750 plus shipping for it. Way more than that in it including time. It is the intake halves not the center section. Marco at Billet Design built the intake and has an extra center section to finish off the project. It would be set up for a mustang throttle body. Big power potential here!
Thanks Eric Hood

Let me know any questions you have. This can be a bolt and go deal if you want Marco at Billet Design to make an intercooler for you as well.

Its a 964 intake wrapped in kevlar. This is done because under high boost situations the intake will flex. This is a great intake for someone.

I figured everyone would know what a 964 intake looked like to begin with, but here is a better pic. The intake has been wrapped in kevlar to increase the strength under high boost. The plastic design and kevlar wrapping virtually eliminates any heat soak at all. This is the intake to own if you want to run with the big boys

But the standard 965 intake is just fine up to like 800 hp or more!

The standard 965 intake is a cis intake. Like I said this is a very trick intake that is capable of making big power, and surviving under big boost. The guys who made this have the fastest Porsche on the planet.....nuff said

Isn't there a general rule of thumb on how much HP is impacted by every degree of intake temp drop? Seems to me that it would require quite a temp drop for "most people to see 40-50 rwhp"

Not speaking for Eric, however, the horsepower statements are not derivative of intake temperature drop, but rather from the increased flow rate of the plastic manifold over the aluminum 3.2 intake. As well, the comments of "fastest porsches on the planet" most likely stem from Billet Designs build ups of drag porsches running the quarter mile in the 8 second range.

If he is talking about a 1/4 mile car then maybe he should amend his statement to "quickest Porsche on the planet "
Personally I was curious is all. I mean someone makes a claim like that , like all enthusiast on this board my interest is peaked...I mean come on, that is a severely bold statement. And please don't misconstrue the tone of my post...I just want to know about the fastest Porsche on the planet is all ! Even if it was the 100 fastest Porsche on the planet I would want to check it out. Now a quarter mile car... to me not anywhere near as impressive as a car that runs a couple hour sprint race or a 24 hour race but I would still like to learn about the car. Obviously a Porsche that is a drag car is not a traditional forum for the marque but that is what also makes it so interesting and cool.

I didn't intend my comment to be inflamatory. It just seemed like he started with a stock 964 intake and covered it in kevlar. Thus the only change would be reduced heat soak. Over a stock 964 intake I wouldn't imagine this to flow any more.
Again... I am just thinking out loud.
