ok, i have some split rim pieces available wich were taken from a set of converted fuch split rims, the shells are very light weight.
im selling them as i require a completly different offset and they are not suitable for what i need. i have four 16"x4.5" inner sections two 16"x3" outer secions and two 16"x3.5" outer sections the measurments are taken from where the bead of the tyre sits to the mounting face of the rim diameter, the shells have 20 holes around the outside and i can be more specific with measurments if anyone is interested. ive only got 2 of the wheels at my house at the moment, the other 2 are at my workshop, i have checked the two at my house and both the inner sections are fine (small amount of flakey paint), there is a slight bubble of paint on the 3.5" outer rim which will flake off and sand down to be fine (i can do this before sale if prefered). now the other wheel at my house has the 3" outer rim, the rims are supposed to have a lipped edge which holds the wheel weights (i think), this edge has been removed (looks like it has beed sanded/ground off), personally i would have all of the wheels machined this way as it looks better and is less area for water to sit in, it should have no effect on the wheels themselves. i will check the other 2 wheels when i get a chance to go to my workshop, i think that there maybee another of the outer sections which has had the lip removed (i will check). also i know that one of the wheels has been cracked and welded but was used after with no troubles (i will get photos) i have been told that these wheel shells are the same as the bbs race wheel shells and also compomotive, they are still available but at a much much greater cost (as i am finding out) they have jcw and some numbers stamped on the back of the inner piece. ive been honest so make me an offer, i will post a price up as soon as ive looked at the other 2 wheels. thanks ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by garyfrench1; 06-13-2006 at 12:24 PM.. |

Can you use these for the classic BBS RS style rims? Do have enough to make two 16x9's?

yes the there are 4 inner sections all @ 4.5 inches wide, you would just need to drill holes for the valves, |
