WTB: SOLEX 40 PI Diffusor
I am in search of 1, 2 or 3 diffusors for Solex 40PI carbs (1965/66-911). I can also use a velocity stack and a rod that operates both Carb banks.
Thanks, Richard ![]() |

I've got several sets of Solex PII carbs. I can probably pull the parts you are looking for.
PM me.

I've got several sets of Solex P11 carbs for the 356/912 motors.
I do not have the early Solex 911 carbs.

Hi Tom - sorry you don't have any 40PI's from a 911 - I know the inlet manifolds are different between the 912 / 356 & the early 911, but are the actual carbs different as well? They might be the same ..... pic attached.

Peter
I believe they are different. The P11 are dual throat and the 911 carbs are triple throat. Here's a pic of my 40-P11's ![]()

Hi Tom, thanks for the pic of the PII's - yes, they are different (the 40PI's are single-throat carbs, 3 on each side on a 911, with no float chamber on the carb: they operate from a common / shared float chamber built into the 3-way inlet manifold). So yours won't fit the 911 - but thanks for taking the trouble to reply.
Best regards Denton // Peter R. PS Anyone out there with a set of 911 Solexes for sale?
