SOLD, yeah to me.

This guy Mike is a CROOK. I paid him $2000 (aud) for these carbs. and he never sent them to me, HE KEPT MY MONEY AND THE CARBS.
He sent me a tracking number that didn't exist. and told me they would be insured incase they were lost on their journy to OZ. NONE OF WHICH WAS TRUE

This was months ago now and now he wont respond to any of my emails

Mike, Thanks for stealing my hard earned $ and ripping off a kind honest hard working person my self. Remember what comes around goes around mate.

DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY HE STOLE $1600 USD FROM ME

Is very true. I'm now out of pocket $2000, have no carbs and can't race my car this season.

Local to me, and many other Pelicans. I think I bought a couple things a few years back from him off of EBAY and he still charged me the same shipping rates as he would to sent them to Southern US even though they only came across town....

Need any of us up here to follow up?

Cheers

That would be great, as I live in Australia and he thinks that will stop me sorting this out. Even if I have to pay some on to help me out, I don't mind.
If any one can help me out, that would be great. It is really unfare to have this happen.
I sold my spare motor and worked double shifts for a whole month to get the cash up for these carbs

Easy guys. The only one screwed here is me. I sold a set of carbs to dan and he paid. Sent them via surface post to Australia, insured. They're lost. I have to wait for insurance to reimburse me. In the meantime, Dan has received credits back to his Paypal account. He 's not out anything.

And Jeff, you had the choice way back when not to buy if you didn't like the flat rate shipping.

Mike

Mike.
I am the one out of pocket. paypal found the case in my favour. BUT WERE UNABLE TO RETREIVE THE FUNDS FROM YOU. so don't make out that your the one out of pocket. You ripped me off.
You have both my money and you are going to get the insurance, that insurance money is mine.
So you will come out ahead and be paid twice for them.

Shouldn't I be the one getting the insurance ? I GOT NOTHING BACK FROM PAYPAL

I'M THE ONE COMPLETELY OUT OF POCKET,

I sent you emails with the notices from Paypal that your funds were returned. You also received these and confirmed the refund of the first set of carbs in an email to me on March 3rd, 3 weeks ago! You bought a set in Dec and January. I advised you of the delay I'd have in shipping them because of vacation and work. They were sent. The post office messed up.

You chose to file with paypal in advance of any insurance claim or settlement and got your money that way. Again, I'm out the carbs, refurb/cleaning costs and all the Weber spare parts and jets I had (no charge I might remind you) and no longer have your money.

Anyway, I'm not going to air this in public any longer. If you want to correspond, email me directly. If I see this kind of bull**** here and elsewhere again the dialogue stops.

I'm happy I finally have my money back.
Mike, if you sent them and they are lost, you can get your money back from insurance.

"...all of a sudden"???? Bull****! I spent 40 minutes on the phone with PP confirming the refunds and asked them to confirm yet again with you. Your refunds were sent on Mar 1st and Mar 10th IN FULL. The delays you had with Paypal are between you and them - not me.

Get your facts straight buddy. Half truths don't cut it either. Done.

Do you think I have nothing better to do with my time than to make up story's about random people ?

I'll copy and paste the email I recived from paypal just after you got off the phone with them. saying they had been holding the funds.
I emailed it to you Mike, so don't bull s@#$.

I was refunded as soon as you got off the phone with them Mike.

I now have my money back and you can get you're so called "insurance money" back, if they were actually sent

Like I said Mike, I did what I had to do to get my money back AND IT WORKED.

If I didn't post this here, you would not of called paypal and I would not of got my refund. So I'm glad I did.

This is the email I just recieved from paypal. (with my details blanked) I recieved this as soon as Mike got off the phone with them, I also forwarded the email to Mike.

Hello Daniel XXXXXX,

The refund for transaction XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX that should have been sent to

this may have caused you.

Transaction Date: 9 Jan 2010
Transaction Amount: -$839.00 USD
Your Transaction ID: 1XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Case Number: PP-XXX-XXX-XXX

A glimpse into the not so straight world of PAYPAL :

PAYPAL :

"The refund for transaction XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX that should have been sent to
you on March 10, 2010 was inadvertantly held by PyPal. I have now released
those funds and you should be able to see the refund reflected in your
available balance as of March 24, 2010. I apologize for any inconvience
this may have caused you."

(inadvertant - yea RIGHT).

Just an example of why I will never have / use it (as far as i'm concerned just problems waiting to happen) .

I would say "caveat emptor" except it's actually USER beware.
