FS: Turn signal/headlight stalk 1976-89

Pulled out of my 1980 SC. Fits 1976-89. I had to resolder the yellow and red wires. Typical low-beam/high-beam problem when I removed it, adjusted the plunger so it should work fine but I haven't tested. If it doesn't work or you can't fix it easy, bust it up, snap a pic and don't pay me. I'd test it myself but removing/installing is no fun. No Paypal so a check is fine.

$40 + shipping from 27517.

Ha, thanks. That soldering work might not be pretty but it's solid -- damn tight space to work in even with the zip tie removed. It's just sitting on my shelf now -- am I asking too much? Should I get someone with a prettier thumb to hold it?

EDIT: For anyone doing this themselves, when you remove the zip tie a red wire, that's even harder to reach than the yellow one, will likely come loose. Fun stuff.

bump.

If there are any tests I can do, resistance, etc. to verify proper function just let me know.
Have a multimeter, happy to use it, this switch is doing me no good sitting on a shelf.

If all you do is fix it you'll be fixing it again soon enough.
The correct fix is to install a set of relays (search "headlight relay") THEN fix the switch.
Instructions for switch-fixing here: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/248149-turn-signal-switch-quick-fix-pictures.html
