FOR SALE- 915 Transmission Rebuilt, late model, Aluminum 915/68
It’s a 915/68 from an 84 Carrera. All the sought after shaft and bearing improvements by Porsche and a better OEM set of gear ratios than the earlier 915s. Aluminum of course. 8:31 does not have LSD. Originally came with an '84 Carrera.
STARTER NOT INCLUDED I did the rebuild in 2014 and did it in total overkill mode. New Synchros, bands, anything that even looked like it had wear was replaced with new OEM. Turns out, a lot of people were happy to buy the stuff in my “reject” bin if that gives you any indication of how overboard I went with it. Shifts perfectly, doesn’t leak at all, and is practically a brand new unit. Other than the 1300 miles I put on it enjoying how great it is of course. Reasons for sale are not mechanically related. Just life related. $3,550 buyer pays shipping. Thanks!

fully disassembled, blasted, customized and restored 75 targa with factory hard top, 993 style turbo ft fenders, steel flares, C2 bumpers and rockers, 82 3.0 sc 9.5/1 engine with PMS flywheel, 964 cams, flowed heads, ssi's short geared 915 w/lsd, polybronze, bilstein,working lambda, modified and highly tuned cis, tensioners, pop valve, backdated exhaust and heater, 2300 lbs. no bolt left untouched. 1970 911E. Nice car but needs a re-do. |
