Color Salmon Metallic
This was a special order color in '74', does anyone have a picture of a p-car this color? It is sometimes described as Orange metallic. The color code is 036. Thanks.

Picture, nope, I've seen a couple 911s that color, Atlanta again, home of colors.
Anyone have an aubergine 14 out there? God knows they had to make more than one. M

Think 1983..
I almost chopped one into a speedster, with suicide doors, planned color: Hot Pink. Somewhere out there is a 914 with *real* gator skin instead of basket weave, that was pimpin. WOULD HAVE LOOKED GREAT IN PINK! M

Are you sure it isn't copper metallic you are thinking of? See the color links above.

Karl, according to the color number list http://members.rennlist.com/chuxter/914Colors.htm
it's originally Phoenix red. It was re painted by the PO and it looks liike they tried to match it. They also added gold metallic to it so it really sparkles in the sun. bruce

Phoenix Red is what they called an orange color that had some red in it. Marketing...
The only Aubergine 914 I've seen in person was a paint-to-sample code car, and it had been repainted in a Saturn purple by the time I saw it. For some reason, the shop that was doing repair work on it could not match the Aubergine color, so they asked the owner to pick another color so they could just redo the whole car. --DD

1. So what are the paint to sample codes?
2. How many people were on the Titanic? 3. Name them. ![]() M

I looked at the Glasurit website and it says Salmon metallic (lachs diamant metallic) was offered in '74' and '75'. From the responses I'm guessing it was a 911 color only. Thanks anyway.

Yes, it was a 911 color only, like Aubergine, or that Sandbutter Sahara.. but you could buy any model in any color you could think of.
I think it was like $150.. lmao. M
