Hirschmann Automatic Aerial Installation Problem

I am having problems installing my new Hirschmann automatic aerial. I would like to use an intermittent toggle switch to move the aerial mask up and down. When I connect the green wire to a wire from the positive side of the battery, I hear a click and no aerial movement with the aerial in the down position. When I connect the red wire to a wire from the positive side of the battery, I hear no click and there is no aerial movement. What do I need to do to complete this installation successfully.

Thanks

Lauran

Following the instructions, black goes to ground, red goes to power, green goes to the very small spade next to the male spade power lead on the back of the Blaupunkt Radio Frankfurt. This will trigger up and down as the radio is turned on and off.

I have discovered that there is no apparent spot for the green wire to be attached to my radio. The investigation is continuing. Any information from others would be appreciated.

You may want to reconsider the use of the intermittent toggle switch. Just use a regular on-off switch on the green wire to positive to mimic the radio signal that you apparently do not have.

I am using an on-off toggle switch because my radio does not have a functioning trigger.
