Petronix

anyone running petronix ignition?

had a few ignition problems this weekend and have been told that this might be the way to go if i want to eliminate points.

any personal experience is appreciated and if you have photos of your set up, please attach

thanks

that is what I have, working very nicely, total no brainer install, took 15-20 minutes.

Works good. Just don't leave your key on with the engine not running. Could burn it up.

The pertronix is a great product. you can leave the key on with the pertronix 2 that recently came out.

I have the petronix and have used it for 2 years without any problems. I cary a spare set of points incase the petronix fails but that seems to be unnecessary.

A great , proven product. I bought mine online at Summit.
Jegs also sells them online. The pertronix in our track car takes a beating at constant high rpms and never changes dwell angle like points do . Our lap times came down also.
If you are just city driving , you should see slightly better MPG.
