Woa, hope you get it off the road quickly. Seriously, if it was running okay and just started this, then something broke or changed for the worse. If it has been doing it all along or slowly got into this mode, it could be due to wear. Since it starts, I would check the distributor related items, such as timming, advance and retard, dwell angle, plug wires and plugs. As Dave sez, this is critical in an injected engine. If ALL is okay, then look at vacuum to see what idle vac is and how it responds to hitting the throttle, could be vac leaks or plugged hoses, etc. Finally I would do a compression test on each cylinder. Compare to what spec book sez. I had a 73 bus once that did this and found compression on one cylinder was super low, it was a dropped seat and I had to really rev it to get it to move and that was a lot of fun especially since it had an automatic! I put a rebuilt head on it and all was well again. Good luck.

oh yeah, i got it out of the street, i live on a dead end, so thats nice, about the running probelm , i just got it cranked yesterday (wed) and the sticker on it ran out in 90, so its been sitting a while, my mechanic friend said to check timing, one of the lifters/springs or something makes a clicking noise, so one of the seats may have dropped, im not sure, the idle speed is high, and it takes a long time to rev high and it still stalls when i rev it to like 3500rpm, im going to check timing tomorrow and see what happens, ian
