p.s. Agree with Dave. The thought of a 200 mph 914 is absurd. With one 360 hp turbo 914 and another 500 hp turbo 914 we have never geared for terminal velocity of over 150 and for that matter I don't even want to go that fast!

p.p.s. Like what I have seen online from Precision. They seem to do exquisite work. Be aware that Kennedy Engineered Products makes a Subie to 901/915/930 bolt pattern adapter plate for under $300.

Just to make sure there is no confusion about the use of the term "WEVO internals", the only WEVO products that can be used concurrent with the Velios kit mentioned are;

WEVO 915 Race Case - Final drive upgrade
WEVO 915 Race Case - Maincase upgrade
WEVO XT_032 Pinion bearing retainer

There is no product that amounts to "WEVO internals" and we would not want confusion to prevail about which WEVO components were used and how they are able to contribute to the success or lack-of in the build being discussed.

None of the WEVO products listed above have any impact on the shifting action of a 915 in any build configuration, or any application.

Regards,

Hayden

Before some one bad mouths the Velios conversion (many have beaten me to that) be aware that the WEVO internals were all done by one of the top shops in the country (hint Pac NW location and highly accomplished race team managers). The box was blueprinted to the max. Despite all this, the best shifting, least expensive to convert and most stout box remains the 930. Lots of tears and huge money spent finding this out over the last decade.

When I say WEVO "internals," the maincase was sent to WEVO for upgrade and the pinion bearing retainer was fitted.

The challenge with the cayman/Boxster gearboxes versus the earlier cars is they moved the starter from the gearbox over to the engine. This is why what Precision has done is so unique and interesting.
