Im going to build a center console, Ive seen pics and have a pretty good idea of how I want it, but would like mesurements. I have a wood dash and would like to contuine the theme into the center console. Ive read the article on how to install it. can someone give me dimentions, wood thickness etc. does anyone have any "blue print plans" that they have already built? Id be greatful for any additional help...
Thanks in advance..... |

I built mine by making a cardboard pattern from a friend's center console (pay particular attention to the rear indentation on the drivers side so your foot has room to rest on the accelerator). I used aluminuim for the center pieces, the heater control slot was a bear to cut. Another hint...I used a multiconnector from an american car to connect all my gauges (4) and all my switches (3) wires to the various wires that came out under the dash. Now when I need to work on any of it I just have to unplug one, albeit big, connector. Good luck.

My center console is out right now and sitting on the shop floor (along with a lot of other things). Email me at kevinw@olympus.net with the measurements you need and I'd be happy to make them for you.
