Turn Signal Switch Plug
I need to troubleshoot the turn signal switch - how do locate the end to just unplug it, not remove it.

There is a two part plug under the steering column and there is a small viewing hole that you can put a small screw driver through and unplug the connector. If I remember correctly, you can see the white flat connector if you either use a very good mirror or lay on your back with your head under there which is painful.
There is an article on the site here that shows how to replace all the levers on the column if you are making a race car and want to keep the functions but loose those two levers. The colors are the same for most all years I think? Last edited by John Rogers; 01-04-2014 at 08:16 PM.. |

Please indicate the year of your 914, 1970-71 and 1972-76 have different connections.
With the later cars, its easier to just remove the switch assembly from the column. |
