And you guy's wonder why my EGO is sooo big.
Guess what car this dash is connected too. I landed a ground up restoration/hot rod job on a factory Porsche race car..which one is it ?? The suspension is first.. so we can roll it around. Its a tub right now. Those of you who already know (KEEP quiet)lol |

You know, I always wondered why no one made a single, center seat 914. Seems like it wouldn't be too hard......

Umm no. I think this race car was orginally built about 30 years after that one.
Close though, thanks for playing. B |

Looks like a monocoque so it must be a 962? I think the 956 was tube frame but I am just guessing from the very light pleasure reading I have done about these cars.

Looks kinda like a 935, but only the one with the raised floor. But I don't think that's it somehow.
I'm guessing one of the "flounder" cars, maybe a 956 or more likely a 962. --DD

James..
You nailed it. We will start on a 962 that was raced by a Japanese team back in the late 80's. What EGO ?? What other "dedicated" 914 guy do you know that will have restored and raced a 962 (by age 31) ?? The owner has signed me and my fab guy up for a Enduro next year (June) to race the car. I cant beleive how cool I am.. LOL That was too much.. lol but it feels good. B |

I've decided that you can give me that M471 car as my prize. Wayne has too many cars to fix right now anyway.

Well, I don't do beer and I don't do Hooters, but if you grace me with your presence anywhere it will probably be enough of a thrill (from what you say).
It sounds like I was actually a lot like you - I had my own shop doing restorations and street rods - I decided to go back to school and finish my engineering degree. I can say that you will never work on cars that have the power and speed of what I work on now (Mach 2 in a 962, uh, NO). Cars have become just a hobby for me, the advantage is that I actually have time to work on my own cars! See ya soon! |

Hmmmmmm- h00ters in Arlington?
Gonna be in that area prolly around the 21st of Sept. My son moved to Tejas to seek his fame and fortune - one of his accounts is h00ters. I'll be drivin' a 55,000 GVW truck we bought in NY back to CA and thought I would stop for a day or so. Maybe Billy Bobs in FW would be more fun. Nuthin' like a barn filled with b00bs (buckle shiners) and b00ze. When drivin' thru Tejas, it is a requirement to wear ****-kickers, Wranglers, 4X Stetson and have a sixer of Lone Star on the driver's seat with a 45 under the seat? Am I allowed to "dip" my cigar? Note: The preceeding text is confidential and should only be viewed by the designee. If you received this post in error, please disregard and notify the DPS of the occurance of a "fake texan" driving a large vehicle on I-10. The driver is considered to be a hostile left coaster. Approach with caution as he may/may not go into "rant" mode upon questioning. Brass knukles and handcuffs are recommended.

Just found this site (962/956 Registry). Here's a list of a lot of 962's, many with pics -
